WinSCP - Free SFTP and SCP client for Windows. Use this to copy your data from the lab to your home institution.
PuTTY - GPL Windows SSH client. Supports X forwarding Kerberos and may other features. (XCygwin or other Windows X server required for full display fowarding to work.)
Cygwin/XCygwin - Suite of GPL/GNU standard tools ported to work in a windows environment. XCygwin provides a X server for windows allowing X forwarding.
